For love of these works and in hopes of securing their authors a broader readership, we’ve selected the following texts as SPRA‘s salvos into Pushcart’s storied arena:
Michelle Chen’s poem “Homeless Man with Bird on the N Train”
Lee Colin Thomas’ poem “Here and Hiding”
Sean Mahoney’s poem “Highland Park”
Robert D. Kirvel’s short fiction piece “Carry-On Violation”
—best of luck, friends.

When you accepted “Carry-On Violation,” Joseph, you told me that SPR would honor the piece, but this nomination is, well, breathtaking. How gratifying when one’s work is appreciated in this manner.
